About Coles Engineering Ltd.

Coles Engineering Ltd. is a team of skilled welders with an unmatched can do spirit. We get thejob done. Originally located in Frere Pilgrim Factory Yard, we have been providing reliable cost effective solutions for industry farm and home for more than 40 years.

We specialise in steel tank building, general welding and supplying mechanical engineering services; from fabrication for large manufacturers and cruise liners to the occasional repairing of an elderly lady’s saucepan handles; no job is too big or too small. Our team is whole heartedly committed to each task and we stand behind our work. The satisfaction of our clients is paramount.

We value our staff. Here at Coles we try wherever possible to pair our workmen with their strengths. A team where each member is assigned the job they perform best will only produce excellent work. We have built a reputation for ourselves throughout the Caribbean as far south as Tortola for our superior work and we intend to keep it that way. Hence, we continue to support our staff in their educational endeavors to better hone their craft.

We are innovative and professional. If you have a drawing, we can construct it. If you have a problem, let us work together to create a metal solution.

How do we Give Back?

At Coles Engineering we have a legacy of giving back. As metal technicians constantly filling the various needs of our clients we understand the importance of our trade to our little paradise; or any society for that matter. Subsequently, we see it only fit that we play our role to help mold the young welders coming after us. We have formed meaningful alliances with both the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic and the Barbados Vocational Training Board; the islands main schools of qualification for artisans. Each year we embrace students on apprenticeship from these institutions with whom we are given the pleasure of sharing our years of knowledge and valuable hands-on experience. Under the schools’ tutelage we provide each student with the opportunity to utilize on site the information taught in class. It has proven a rewarding venture and the team is always glad to see future metal technicians on the come up.
